German Chancellor Olaf Scholz named intellectual property rights as a key area of concern the European nation’s companies have when doing business with China.

Scholz said German firms also hope to have equal access to China’s public tender system and raised concerns over corporate approval procedures, answering a Caixin question on fair competition at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday at the tail end of a three-day visit.
