Meituan Names Wang Puzhong as CEO of New Core Local Commerce Business

Meituan has named Wang Puzhong as the Chief Executive Officer of its new core local commerce business, which was integrated from the Chinese food delivery giant’s four business groups in a significant restructuring.

In February Meituan announced plans to integrate its in-store and in-home business groups, the main Meituan platform and its basic research and development platform into a new core business. Wang Xing, Meituan’s CEO, announced Wang Puzhong’s appointment in an internal letter Thursday.
