The contribution of high value-added industries such as biomedicine to China’s total economic inputs rose in April, due to a rebound in capital inputs, a Caixin index showed Thursday.
The Caixin BBD New Economy Index (NEI) came in at 30.7 for last month, indicating that new economy industries accounted for 30.7% of China’s overall economic input activities. The reading is up 0.9 of a point from 29.8 in March.
