Guo Ningning, executive vice governor of Southeast China’s Fujian province, has been appointed Communist Party chief of the provincial capital Fuzhou, according to local state media.

The 53-year-old former banking executive replaces Lin Jinbao, 60, who became a vice chairman of the provincial legislature’s standing committee in January.

Guo will retain her title of executive vice governor. She is also an alternate member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and a standing committee member of the Fujian provincial party committee.
