China, South Korea and Japan Hold First Trilateral Leaders’ Summit in Five Years

What’s new: Chinese Premier Li Qiang will travel to Seoul to attend a summit with the leaders of Japan and South Korea, in the first trilateral talks among the Asian neighbors since 2019, according to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Li will join Fumio Kishida, the Japanese Prime Minister, and Yoon Suk Yeol, South Korea’s President, for the ninth Trilateral Summit Meeting from May 26 to 27. Li will also attend a business summit and other important events, said the ministry.
