Vice Finance Minister Becomes Shanghai’s Deputy Party Chief

The Communist Party’s Central Committee has named a vice finance minister as a deputy chief of Shanghai’s party committee, the city government announced Friday.
Zhu Zhongming, a native of East China’s Zhejiang province, spent most of his career working at the local counterpart of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in the province.
In 2020, he was appointed director of Zhejiang’s finance department. Later that year, he was made a vice governor of the central province of Hunan, with responsibility for education, civil affairs and health care. In 2021, Zhu became a vice minister of the MOF.
