(Nikkei Asia) — Chinese electric-vehicle (EV) maker Zeekr is preparing to roll out its high-end EVs in Japan next year, including a model that sells for over $60,000 in China, an executive said.

The company, which is working to comply with Japanese safety standards, hopes to set up showrooms this year in Tokyo and the Osaka area ahead of the launch, said Chen Yu, a Zeekr vice president.
