Beijing, Tokyo Reaffirm Ties After Fatal Stabbing of Japanese Schoolboy

China and Japan have agreed to maintain communication to prevent the killing of a Japanese schoolboy in Shenzhen from hurting bilateral ties, the Chinese foreign ministry said.
The two sides “recognized” each other’s efforts in handling the tragic incident and China stands ready to continue building a “constructive and stable” relationship with Japan, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lin Jian said during a daily briefing Monday.
