TikTok’s legal challenge: The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear TikTok’s case against a law that could ban the app in the country next month on national security grounds, unless it is sold. The Chinese-owned video platform is appealing a lower court’s decision to uphold the ban. TikTok argues that the law infringes on Americans’ right to free speech. On Monday, TikTok’s CEO met with President-elect Donald Trump, who confessed he had a “warm spot” in his heart for the app.
