A rundown of the news making headlines in and around China:

Arm China CEO: The Chinese joint venture of chip design powerhouse Arm Holdings PLC has hired a former deputy general manager of Chinese peer Rockchip Electronics Co. Ltd. (603893.SH) as its new solo CEO. Chen Feng has taken the reins of Arm Technology (China) Co. Ltd. from former co-CEOs Liu Renchen and Chen Xun, who stepped down. The change marks the end of the transitional state in which Arm Technology had dual CEOs. Liu and Chen Xun ascended after a two-year hullabaloo in which their predecessor, Allen Wu, made off with the company’s seals and licenses after Arm Holdings and another major shareholder tried to oust him.
