China’s mechanical and electrical exports hit a record $2.1 trillion in 2024, driven by a rebound in overseas demand and exporters rushing to ship goods before the Trump administration imposes tariffs.
Total exports of mechanical and electrical products grew by 7.5% year-on-year, making up nearly 60% of China’s overall goods exports.
The combined value of imports and exports in this sector reached a record $3.11 trillion, according to data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
