Shanghai Welcomes China’s First Harry Potter Theme Park to Open in 2027

Harry Potter could soon be flying into Shanghai on his broomstick. Local tourism and hospitality company Jin Jiang International Co. Ltd. and Warner Bros. Discovery signed a joint venture framework agreement Wednesday to build a Harry Potter theme park in the city, expected to open in 2027.
It will follow Disneyland as another global intellectual property (IP) themed attraction to open in Shanghai.
