The Chinese mainland is experiencing a renewed moderate rise in Covid-19 infections, but large-scale outbreaks remain unlikely, according to the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The infection rate for Covid-19 climbed to 16.2% during the first week of May from 7.5% of the previous week, according to the latest data released by China CDC, making it the most prevalent pathogen detected.
