A Major Step Forward in PCG Power’s Globalisation Strategy: PCG Global Launches in New Zealand

On 18 June, 2025, PCG Global, an international platform for the development, management and operation of commercial & industrial PV assets, took a major step forward in advancing its globalisation strategy. Today marked the grand opening of PCG Oceania, a joint venture between PCG Global and Dreamhome Group, a renowned property and construction company in New Zealand. The launch in Auckland signifies PCG Global’s official entry into the New Zealand renewable energy market. Distinguished guests from New Zealand’s political and communities, representatives from Chinese institutions in New Zealand, and industry leaders gathered to witness this milestone event.
Local Integration, Strategic Take-off
The launch ceremony paid homage to the profound Māori cultural traditions, beginning with a traditional Māori welcome ceremony.
In his welcome speech, Dr. Yang Jian, Chairman of the New Zealand Chinese Business Club and the Federation of New Zealand Chinese Business Associations Incorporated, highlighted the long-standing and stable economic and trade ties between China and New Zealand, with China being New Zealand’s largest trading partner. He noted that photovoltaics and energy storage are rapidly becoming new focal points for cooperation in energy, economy, trade, and technology between the two countries.
Mr. Li Wenxuan, Chairman of PCG Global, reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to the New Zealand market: “The establishment of PCG Oceania represents a key strategic move in our global expansion. Building on PCG Power’s profound expertise in China’s commercial and industrial photovoltaic and energy storage sectors, we are dedicated to supporting New Zealand’s energy transition and sustainable development of communities. We will operate with full localisation, aiming to create a win-win model that integrates clean energy, local economy and ecological protection—delivering more stable and cost-effective green energy solutions for our commercial and industrial clients.”
Mr. Johnny Sun, Chief Executive Officer of Dreamhome Group, remarked: “This collaboration with PCG Global is a benchmark for integrating world-leading photovoltaic technology with local development and operational expertise. We look forward to jointly delivering efficient, smart and reliable clean energy solutions to businesses, industrial parks and cities in New Zealand. Desley Simpson, Deputy Mayor of Auckland, and Simon Bridges, Chief Executive Officer of Auckland Business Chamber and former Energy Minister of New Zealand, extended their warm congratulations on the launch of PCG Oceania. They expressed confidence that PCG Oceania would make substantive contributions to accelerating New Zealand’s transition to 100% renewable electricity generation.
