A rundown of the news making headlines in and around China:

Trump talks TikTok: U.S. President Donald Trump has found a buyer for TikTok, but he’s not saying exactly whom. In a cable news interview Sunday, Trump said he would reveal the “group of very wealthy people” interested in purchasing the Chinese-owned short video sensation in “about two weeks.” The U.S. president gave no other details besides acknowledging Beijing would need to approve the deal. TikTok has been stuck in limbo since January, when Trump extended the deadline imposed by Congress for the platform to be sold or banned from the U.S. The president has since extended that deadline twice more, making multiple references to a deal that has yet to materialize.
