Rocketing revenue: Chinese chipmaker Cambricon Technologies Corp. Ltd.’s (688256.SH) revenue grew more than fortyfold in the first half of 2025 to nearly 2.9 billion yuan ($405.4 million). The company, which specializes in chips that power artificial intelligence (AI) systems, reported Tuesday that its first-half net profit reached 913 million yuan, compared with a more than 600 million yuan net loss for the same period the previous year. The news launched its stock briefly to a record high Tuesday. The company’s stock price has doubled since July, fueled by the ongoing tech tensions between China and the U.S.
