New regulations require labeling for AI-generated content

The measures for labeling AI-generated content, issued by four government bodies including the Cyberspace Administration of China, took effect on Sept. 1. The rules require all AI-generated text, images, and videos to be clearly labeled. Platforms must review content, verify the presence of such labels, and add risk warnings to unlabeled or suspected AI-generated material to curb the spread of false information.
