Chinese Official Who Led Antifraud Probes Investigated for Corruption

A former deputy director of Central China’s Henan Provincial Healthcare Security Administration who once led national antifraud inspections has been placed under investigation for corruption, the province’s top disciplinary watchdog announced Tuesday.
Sun Xiaocan, who retired in 2023, is being investigated for “serious violations of discipline and law,” a common euphemism for corruption, the Henan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision said.
