Communist Party to Hold Key Policy Meeting on Next Five-Year Plan in October

China’s Communist Party will hold a key policy-setting conclave from Oct. 20 to 23 in Beijing to map out the country’s development path for the next five years.
The date for the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee was set at a meeting of the party’s Political Bureau on Sept. 29, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported. The meeting, presided over by General Secretary Xi Jinping, discussed the draft proposal for the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development.
