Google to invest $15 billion in India for AI hub
On Oct. 14, Google announced it will establish an AI hub in India. The company said the project will integrate AI infrastructure, data centers, new large-scale energy sources and fiber optic networks. The investment plan totals approximately $15 billion over five years from 2026 to 2030, marking Google’s largest-ever investment in India. Google analysis suggests the project is expected to add at least $15 billion to the U.S. GDP over five years due to new economic activity from cloud computing and AI applications as well as the involvement of U.S. talent and resources.
