U.K. Sanctions Chinese Firms Over Russian Oil Trade
Listen to the full version

The United Kingdom has slapped sanctions on several Chinese companies as part of its toughest economic measures yet against Russia, targeting Moscow’s vital oil industry — a move that drew a firm rebuke from Beijing.
The sweeping measures, affecting 90 entities, are aimed at crippling Russia’s war-funding capabilities by taking aim at the country’s largest oil companies, Lukoil and Rosneft. The sanctions also extend to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet of oil tankers and entities in third countries accused of supporting Moscow.
