Dutch Chipmaker Nexperia Denies Reports of Chinese CEO’s Reinstatement
Listen to the full version

Nexperia’s Dutch headquarters has denied rumors that Wingtech Technology Co. Ltd. founder Zhang Xuezheng has been reinstated as its CEO, stating that Zhang remains suspended by a court order.
In a statement on Nov. 5, Nexperia Holding BV said any claims to the contrary are untrue. Wingtech Technology did not respond to Caixin's request for comment.
The firm asserted it will continue to fully comply with a Dutch government order that effectively freezes the management control of its Chinese parent company, Wingtech. This follows social media rumors on Nov. 4 that China and the EU had reached a semiconductor supply chain agreement that would see Zhang reinstated and Nexperia’s assets unfrozen.
