Israeli Envoy Sees Vast Untapped Potential in Economic Ties With China

The potential for economic cooperation between Israel and China is far from fully tapped, Israel’s consul general in Shanghai said.
“If you’re asking me what is interesting for Israel in China, the answer is everything,” Ravit Baer told Caixin on Thursday at the China International Import Expo.
Baer said the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing regional conflicts in Israel have delayed potential cooperation over the past few years. But this year’s expo has drawn about 10 Israeli firms that are completely new to China, signaling renewed interest in the Chinese market, she said. “I’m sure this exhibition is a very good platform and opportunity to create cooperation,” she added.
