U.K. Seizes Over $35 Million From Suspect in Singapore’s Largest Money Laundering Case

The U.K.’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has seized assets worth more than 27 million pounds ($35.4 million) from a Chinese businessman in connection with Singapore’s largest-ever money laundering scandal.
On Wednesday, the U.K. High Court approved a settlement order for the NCA to confiscate nine luxury apartments in London valued at 15 million pounds and rare dinosaur fossils worth 12.4 million pounds from Su Binghai. Su was a fugitive who fled Singapore in August 2023, when police launched a massive crackdown on a money laundering ring.
