The development of China’s low-altitude economy should be driven by advances in aircraft system design, expanding application demand and large-scale commercial operations, said an industry executive.
Speaking at the 16th Caixin Summit Thursday, Tu Qiang, chief product officer at Chinese electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft firm Aerofugia Technology Co. Ltd., said the large-scale deployment of low-altitude aviation services requires aircraft that must be safe, cost-efficient, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
Tu emphasized the foundational role of aircraft system design, based on which nearly all downstream technologies are developed.
