The death of a graduate medical student who fell into a river in Central China’s Hunan province has triggered widespread public attention. As of publication, hospital and university officials have yet to release the results of their investigation.
On March 16, a joint investigative team from the Hunan Provincial Health Commission issued a statement saying that at 9:57 p.m. on March 14, a 2023-cohort graduate student surnamed Sun went missing after leaving her dormitory at Central South University’s Xiangya Hospital.
