March 24: Denmark holds general election
Denmark is set to hold an early parliamentary election. Under the Danish Constitution, parliamentary elections are held every four years, though the prime minister has the authority to call an early vote. The country’s last election took place on Nov. 1, 2022. The government’s tougher stance toward the U.S. over Greenland has lifted public support. By calling an early election, it aims to solidify that momentum, tighten internal cohesion and improve its electoral prospects.
