China Probes Senior NFRA Official in Anti-Graft Push

Zhou Liang, a vice minister at the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA), has been placed under investigation for suspected corruption, the country’s top anti-graft watchdog announced Tuesday.
Zhou, in his mid-50s, took on the role following the NFRA’s establishment in 2023. At the agency, Zhou oversaw state-owned banks, policy banks, as well as policy research and financial accounting, people familiar with the matter told Caixin.
