Shanghai-listed Cinda Securities Co. Ltd. (601059.SH) has suspended the head of its research department after a female employee publicly accused him of sexual assault.
Tang Chanyu, a researcher at the firm, said in a message posted online and addressed to colleagues that Zuo Qianming, the department’s director, assaulted her on Tuesday evening during a business trip to Shanghai. She alleged that Zuo inappropriately touched her in a car on the way back to the hotel and later forced her into a taxi after she refused to go to his hotel room.
