South Korea has eased documentation requirements for Chinese citizens applying for multiple-entry visas and extended visa validity from Monday, the Chinese Embassy in Seoul said Tuesday.

Under the changes, Chinese nationals who have previously visited South Korea can apply for five-year multiple-entry visas. South Korea will also extend multiple-entry visas for residents of 14 major Chinese cities to 10 years from five. The cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Nanjing, Qingdao, Chongqing, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Ningbo, Changsha and Wuhan. Executives and employees of companies that have invested more than $1 million in South Korea will likewise be eligible for 10-year multiple-entry visas, up from five.
