April 13: IMF, World Bank Spring Meetings begin
The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group will hold their 2026 Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., from April 13 to April 18. The in-person gatherings will bring together global economic leaders at the institutions’ headquarters.
April 13: Israel, Lebanon to start direct talks
The first direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon will begin at the U.S. State Department in Washington. The talks will focus on disarming Hezbollah and establishing peaceful bilateral relations.
