China Probes Former Regional Insurance Regulator Chief

Chinese authorities are investigating Gao Cui, a former head of the Liaoning branch of the country’s now-defunct insurance regulator, for suspected corruption, in a sign Beijing’s anti-graft drive in the financial sector remains active.
The probe was announced Friday by anti-corruption authorities.
Gao and her husband, He Wanjun, were both detained, people familiar with the matter told Caixin.
