China Unveils AI-Driven Plan to Build $14 Trillion Service Sector by 2030

China’s cabinet issued sweeping guidelines on Tuesday to upgrade the country’s service sector into a 100 trillion yuan ($14 trillion) industry by 2030, placing artificial intelligence (AI) and smart coding tools at the center of the strategy.
The State Council document outlines measures to remove institutional barriers and boost both producer and consumer services, identifying the accelerated innovation of software and information services as a crucial step in promoting smart economy. The plan specifically calls for deepening the national “AI+” initiative by developing intelligent coding tools, supporting the procurement of large models and building high-quality industry datasets.
