China to Advance Dual Financial Laws This Year

China’s top legislature will push ahead with two major financial laws this year, easing concerns one could be dropped.
China plans to formulate a Financial Law and a separate Financial Stability Law this year, a spokesperson for the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee said Friday.
The plan dispels speculation that the Financial Stability Law might be shelved due to overlapping content, after parts of its draft were incorporated into the Financial Law draft.
