China Probes Former Senior Official at Top Economic Planning Agency

Wu Hao, a former senior official at China’s top economic planning agency, has been placed under investigation for suspected severe violations of discipline and law, the country’s top anti-graft watchdog said.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision announced the probe into the 54-year-old on Saturday. Before his downfall, Wu served as director and deputy Communist Party chief of the Science and Technology Innovation Development Center at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
