Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC) (601238.SH) announced the sudden resignation of Deputy General Manager Huang Yongqiang, marking the third abrupt departure of a senior executive at the automaker in eight months.

In a stock exchange filing Friday, GAC said that Huang submitted his resignation the day before due to “organizational work arrangements” and would no longer hold any positions at the company. However, Caixin has learned that his departure is connected to an anti-corruption campaign within the group.
