Caixin Ranks Ninth Globally in 2026 Digital Subscription Report

BEIJING, June 11, 2026 — Caixin has been ranked ninth worldwide in the newly released 2026 Global Digital Subscription Report, with 1.2 million paid subscribers, confirming its position as one of the largest subscription-based news organizations outside the U.S. and U.K.

The report was jointly published by FIPP and the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA). FIPP, one of the world’s oldest associations for the publishing industry, has tracked the scale and trends of digital paid subscriptions globally since 2018. In January 2026, FIPP formally merged with WAN-IFRA to form the world’s largest media alliance, covering more than 20,000 media brands and technology companies across 120 countries. The 2026 report, the first annual edition since the merger, covers 206 media brands and is widely regarded as an authoritative reference for the global digital subscription market.
