A ferocious wave of torrential rain has battered six provinces across southern China, forcing mass evacuations and submerging cities in floodwaters that have shattered historical precipitation records.
The extreme weather over the weekend and into Monday affected Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hunan provinces.
