China’s top securities watchdog has appointed new heads to its bureaus in Shandong and Jiangsu provinces, Caixin has learned, as it moves to strengthen front-line market supervision in the country’s key economic hubs.
Zhang Xiaojun, a regulatory veteran and one of the first spokespersons for the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), took the helm of the Shandong bureau in early June, sources with knowledge of the matter told Caixin. He previously directed the CSRC’s Communist Party affairs bureau.
