The chief executive of Chinese embodied artificial intelligence startup Galaxea AI said China could surpass the United States in foundation models for robotics within three years, citing the country’s emerging data-supply-chain advantages and mature hardware manufacturing base.
Speaking at the company’s global developer conference, CEO Gao Jiyang said China’s ability to combine large-scale real-world data collection with a complete robot supply chain could help domestic developers take the global lead in embodied AI.
