Yum China Buys Pizza Hut’s Mainland Business

Yum China Holdings Inc. has agreed to take full ownership of the Pizza Hut brand on the Chinese mainland from Yum! Brands Inc. for $1.2 billion in cash.
The transaction is part of Yum! Brands’ broader plan to divest its Pizza Hut operations globally, with private equity firm LongRange Capital acquiring the business outside of the Chinese mainland for $1.5 billion.
