(Paris, France) — U.S. President Donald Trump said early Thursday that he had remotely signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran, signaling a major step toward resolving the recent conflict between the two nations.

Trump told reporters that he signed the MOU following a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles outside Paris.
