Drones are being deployed to airlift trapped residents and deliver emergency supplies to flooded areas of Southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, illustrating the disaster response potential of aerial unmanned vehicles.

Heavy rains recently destroyed roads and isolated communities in some parts of Guangxi, prompting the dispatch of agricultural and delivery drones for relief efforts in hard-hit areas such as Hengzhou city.
