Hong Kong’s insurance regulator has granted captive insurance licenses to Chinese courier giant SF Holding Co. Ltd. and luxury hospitality operator The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Ltd., lifting the city’s total number of captive insurers to nine.
The approvals underscore Hong Kong’s efforts to strengthen its role as a risk-management hub for Chinese mainland companies and multinationals seeking tailored coverage as they expand overseas.
