Despite an influx of capital and flashy displays at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), humanoid robotics still faces major technological bottlenecks and rising costs as developers said the machines remains immature for widespread commercial deployment.
The event, which took place in Shanghai and concluded on Monday, featured more than 200 embodied AI companies, up from about 80 last year.
