Volkswagen Strengthens Self-Driving Partnership With Horizon Robotics

Volkswagen Group China announced that it is deepening its partnership with Horizon Robotics to accelerate the in-house development of Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving technologies, as they look to better compete in the world’s largest auto market.

The move highlights the German auto giant’s urgent need to accelerate its shift toward smart electric vehicles (EVs) and reverse its plunging sales in its largest market following years of internal software development struggles.
