Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. on Friday introduced sweeping changes to its listing regime, lowering financial thresholds for companies with weighted voting rights and allowing all initial public offering applicants to file confidentially.
The overhaul, which drew near-unanimous backing from market participants during consultation, is intended to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international fundraising center as global competition for innovative listings intensifies.
