Global payments giant Visa and Chinese fintech firm LianLian DigiTech Co. Ltd. have executed an AI-driven business-to-business (B2B) payment, automating a cross-border procurement process.

The transaction, announced Friday, allowed a small enterprise to use LianLian’s AI agent, LoopXPay, to autonomously identify purchasing needs, compare suppliers, place an order and complete the transaction within preset spending limits.
