Profits in China’s trust sector jumped 12.1% in the first half of 2026, signaling that the industry is steadily recovering from a years-long regulatory overhaul.
Unaudited financial data from more than 50 trust companies shows aggregate net income reached 18 billion yuan ($2.7 billion) in the first six months of the year. Revenue increased 6.1% to 32.2 billion yuan, with over 60% of firms reporting top-line growth.
