Standard Chartered China Summit 2026 Successfully Held in Shanghai

The 2026 Standard Chartered China Summit was successfully held in Shanghai, focusing on identifying paths to breakthrough amid a reshaping global landscape. The event brought together distinguished scholars, business leaders and pioneers from China and around the world to explore critical topics such as the outlook for China’s macroeconomy, strengthening the overseas operations of Chinese enterprises in globalisation 3.0, rebuilding global supply chain resilience, and cross-sector innovation. The summit aimed to provide a platform for dialogue across borders, markets and industries, helping Chinese enterprises finding new opportunities and achieve mutually beneficial growth in the new phase of globalisation.
In her welcome address, Jean Lu, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Vice Chair, Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited, said: “The world is undergoing a profound geopolitical realignment, with technological sovereignty emerging as a central arena of competition among nations. During the high-level dialogue titled “Beyond Borders: Unlocking opportunities in a transforming world,” Lei Zhang, Founder and CEO of Envision Group; Xiaoshen Wang, President of Ganfeng Lithium; and Bill Winters, Group Chief Executive, Standard Chartered Bank, held an in-depth discussion on how businesses can find firm points of leverage amid volatility and transformation. The session was moderated by Lu Shi, Head of Coverage, Corporate & Investment Banking, Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited.
